BRB Hospitals Limited is a premier healthcare institution committed to providing outstanding medical services to our patients. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer – Electrical to join our Engineering & Maintenance Department.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the head of the department in developing, implementing, and managing the electrical maintenance plan for the hospital, ensuring that all electrical systems and equipment are operating efficiently and without interruption.
• Perform regular inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems, including sub-stations, transformers, generators, distribution panels, lighting systems, firefighting systems, laundry machinery, elevator, pump house equipment, ETP, STP, and other related equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, perform repairs, and resolve breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory of spare parts and supplies.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance & Engineering team and other departments to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Conduct periodic audits of electrical systems to identify areas for improvement and implement energy-saving initiatives.
• Manage multiple shift-related complaints and ensure the adequate maintenance of all electromechanical shifting equipment.
• Provide support and guidance to the engineering and development team to ensure that the project/job is completed on time.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical systems and technologies, and provide recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements as needed.
• Assist in the procurement of electrical equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Any other assignment given by the management as and when required.

Academic Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) from a recognized University.
• Valid professional certification or license in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical maintenance and engineering, preferably in a healthcare or critical facility setting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Solid understanding of electrical principles and systems, including power distribution, circuitry, and control systems.
• Proficiency in electrical testing and diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Experience in handling electrical maintenance and repair work, including troubleshooting and fault finding.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and practices related to electrical maintenance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve electrical issues effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive and flexible approach to work.
