BRB Hospitals Limited is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Lift Man to join our Engineering & Maintenance Department. As a Lift Man, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of elevators and escalators within our hospital premises.

Responsibilities:

• Operate elevators and escalators to transport patients, staff, and visitors within the hospital
• Ensure the smooth and safe operation of elevator systems, including opening and closing doors, operating controls, and monitoring equipment
• Respond promptly to elevator calls and assist passengers in a courteous and professional manner
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or malfunctions
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of elevator equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify any issues
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Engineering & Maintenance Department
• Maintain accurate records of elevator usage, maintenance activities, and any incidents or malfunctions
• Assist with the evacuation of individuals using elevators during emergency situations, following established protocols
• Coordinate with other staff members and departments to ensure efficient elevator operations

Academic Qualifications:

• Minimum SSC (Secondary School Certificate) or equivalent

Experience:

• Prior 05 (Five) Years’ experience as a Lift Man or in a similar role is preferred
• Familiarity with elevator operations and controls is desirable

Requirements:

• Knowledge of elevator systems, controls, and safety protocols
• Ability to operate elevators and escalators efficiently and safely
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical fitness to perform the duties of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights if required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety guidelines
• Customer service-oriented mindset
