BRB Hospitals Limited is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our Engineering & Maintenance Department. As a Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper maintenance and repair of our hospital facilities and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Construct, install, repair, and maintain various wooden structures and fixtures, including cabinets, doors, windows, furniture, and partitions
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to accurately complete carpentry projects
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials using hand and power tools
• Install and repair wooden roofing, and siding as required
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and department staff to coordinate and complete carpentry projects
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Inspect and assess the condition of existing wooden structures and provide recommendations for repairs or replacements
• Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations related to carpentry work

Academic Qualifications:

• Minimum SSC (Secondary School Certificate) or equivalent
• Certification or vocational training in carpentry or a related field is preferred

Experience:

• At least 05 (Five) years of experience in carpentry work, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting
• Proven track record of successfully completing carpentry projects

Requirements:

• Solid knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and sanders
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and precautions related to carpentry work
• Good physical stamina and manual dexterity
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Skill Sets:

• Expertise in various carpentry techniques, including framing, finishing, and cabinetry
• Knowledge of different types of wood and their characteristics
• Familiarity with construction and building codes
• Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems related to carpentry work
